A practical program to support participants in strengthening both their communication skills and confidence in having effective and assertive conversations and developing empathetic awareness and behavioural flexibility to adjust their communication to suit different workplace contexts to obtain desired outcomes.
- Apply contemporary emotional intelligence principles to strengthen personal resilience and access resourceful states to build confidence for workplace conversations and for responding effectively in the moment.
- Apply practical tools to plan challenging conversations including incorporating organisational values and framing techniques to minimise defensive responses.
- Develop conversations in small groups in practical contexts including managing upwards, providing feedback, making requests, raising awareness and building collaboration.
- Strengthen empathetic listening and conversation techniques to lower the emotional barometer of others.
